A PRECIOUS DAY IN KYOTO, SHIMOGAMO SHRINE & TAKESHIGERO
Shimogamo Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto and is registered as a World Heritage Site.
It has been long worshipped as the god of matchmaking and parenting.
On the shrine’s premises is a beautiful forest called “Tadasu-no-mori” where you can have your wedding photos taken on your wonderful day.
Takeshigero is the restaurant founded back in the ear of the 8th Shogun,TOKUGAWA Yoshimune in Edo period.
It boasts about 300years of history as a river fish specialty restaurant.
While preserving the tradition and trying to exist unchanged for the couples who had or will have their wedding reception there,
Takeshigero is also showcasing the charms of Kyoto to the world.
