東京店の衣装ディスプレーを替えました。

「本唐織　段替　小松紋」でございます。

「段替り」という特別な技法が用いられたこの御衣裳は、経糸を一定の間隔で3色に染め分けることで、美しい市松の模様を形成しているそうです。

まるで刺繍を施したようなボリュームと立体感です。

そう、唐織は刺繍ではなくあくまでも織物。
こんなに立体的な模様を作り出してしまうとは「すごい！」のひとこと。
ただただ感心し、見とれてしまいます。

日本の素晴らしい技術と伝統がつまった婚礼衣装を、
一人でも多くの花嫁様にお召いただきたいと思っています。

3月15日には和装鬘体験会も開催いたしますので、ぜひご参加くださいませ。

We have changed the kimono in the display at Tokyo office.

The newly exhibited is “Honkaraori Dangae Komatsumon”.

This Kimono is made by the special technique called “dangawari”.
Beautiful “ichimatsu” pattern is realized by dyeing warps in three colors at a regular interval.

The volume and the texture are as if it is covered with the embroidery.
But Karaori is not an embroidery but a woven fabric.
It is really amazing that such stereographically patterns can be created.
I was so impressed and found myself staring this admirable work.

It would be great if this kimono could be worn by as many brides as possible, as it’s a precious piece created with one of Japanese traditional, highly skilled craftsmanship.
