The shrine with lush green
I was so excited to see the bride in “Shiromuku (=all-white wedding kimono)” that I had helped them to choose.
She looked so beautiful!
I provided the service at their wedding ceremony and reception on May 4th.
It was about a year ago when I first met the couple to help them to choose their wedding kimono.
We were so thrilled when we spotted our names in the booklet they handed to their guests at the reception.
It was such a great surprise and I was about to cry.
We really enjoyed serving the couple every time they visited us for the meeting or for the fitting of the costume.
They even handed me a heartfelt letter after the wedding and I really appreciate that.
They are such a great couple and I wish them a long and happy marriage.
Congratulations!!
I met a lady at Saami ryoutei restaurant.
I had supported her wedding ceremony seven years ago.
When our eyes met, my feet moved to approach her even before my brain recognized it was her.
The baby who was still in her tummy at that time has now grown big.
“Who is she?” asked the child.
And she explained “When daddy and mommy got married, she helped us a lot.”
What a pleasure!!
I am so grateful that we could get the chance to support their precious family’s wedding as well.
Wishing the couple a life time happiness!

Iro-uchikake “Momoyama Hana-kurabe” is colorfully designed uchikake which image comes from Momoyama period and it has special soft texture of Kara-ori (woven-silk).
The traditional motives which were used often for the costume of Noh(=classical Japanese musical drama) and Kosode (a kind of kimono) in Momoyama period are placed all over.
The accessories are in cream color with woven “SHIPPO” pattern.
Gold fringes and yellow obiage (sash belt) will give the accent to the coordination.
This iro-uchikake in pink must look great and gorgeous on you.
Even if you never chosen pink for your clothing, this may look good on you as it contains so many different colored motives.
We will hold next fitting event for the wedding kimono on March 23rd.
In Higashiyama, Kyoto. “Toyokuni Shrine” is commonly know as “Houkoku-san” by the local people.
It enshrines Hideyoshi Toyotomi and his wife Nene who were tied by a love marriage that was rare at that time.
LST created original “Shiromuku (all-white wedding kimono)” for the wedding ceremony at Toyokuni Shrine.
Is is gorgeously woven with the motives of “Nihon Sankei (The three views of Japan)”; Amano-Hashidate in Kyoto, Miyajima in Hiroshima and Sendai in Miyagi along with the crest of the shrine and some botanical motives like peony, wisteria, chrysanthemum and pine trees.
“Juraku-den”
A gorgeous hall with a stage. 100 guests can be seated with tables.
The table decoration with the cloth and flowers goes well with the dress style too

“Choju-den”

We held a wedding fair at Saami Ryoutei restaurant on February 10th.
We really appreciated that so many people visited the fair.
We were happy to hear the voices from our guests saying;
“The meals were very delicious.”
“Can’t wait for having my wedding here!”
“I’m surprised to see that you offer so many variety of styles.”
It is the 15th year since we started holding the fair twice a year, in summer and winter.
All of LST staff are really grateful for being given such opportunity at the historic place like Saami.
We would like to thank for all the guests attended, Saami and other partner companies who collaborated with us.
The couple got married at Kamigamo Shrine last Autumn.
They were from Fukui prefecture, and their first encounter was through “Sado (=tea ceremony)”.
They chose “Saami (ryoutei restaurant)” as a venue for their wedding reception after the ceremony.
It is said that ODA Yorinaga, a nephew of ODA Nobunaga, mastered “Sado” there.
After the meal, the bride herself made some tea and offered to their families.
She wore her own “Furisode (formal kimono)” and had arranged her own hair in Japanese traditional style.
Everything the way shed moved was elegant and sophisticated.
She was so beautiful that I was enraptured.
The reception was full of wonderful, unique hospitality.
It describes the motives representing the arrival of Spring season, such as “nejiri-ume (twisted plum flower)”, “sakura (cherry blossoms)”, “yukiwa (snow flake)” and “seigaiha (waves)”.
花嫁小物は金菊をあしらった淡いトーンの小物を。
The accessories for the brides are coordinated in the pale colors with small gold chrysanthemum.
掛下も小物と同じ金菊のものを合わせました。
And “kakeshita” (=kimono worn under uchikake) is also with gold chrysanthemum.
The iro-uchikake (Multicolored wedding kimono) named “Baika-yukiwadori”.
It’s a beautiful and gorgeous iro-uchikake woven with plenty gold yarn.
We are going to have a fitting event of the wedding kimono on January 27th at LST Kyoto and there will be a newly designed kimono too.
Please come visit our salon to try it.
We supported a wedding reception held at “YOSHIDA SANSO”.
The bride and groom prepared for the reception with the theme “to express gratitude to their family and relatives who brought them up”.
They prepared the traditional sweets of Kyoto and talked to each guest filling the glass with sake one by one.
They spent peaceful time with their family.
Then the bride read a letter to her parents to whom she wanted to thank more than anybody.
Since their first visit to our salon, this couple with the tender hearts kept telling us that they wanted to express their gratitude at the wedding reception.
It was a great pleasure for us to have been able to support the wedding reception for the wonderful couple like them.
We really appreciate the opportunity.
We supported a first wedding ceremony at “Kotoba-kan” in Kyotanabe Campus of Doshisha University.
It was built in March 2015 as a first religious facility in Kyotanabe Campus, and they just started the wedding service this year.
A memorable first wedding ceremony was held there the other day.
It was conducted peacefully in the spacious hall with the couple lighted by gentle sunlight after the rain.
They also had their photos taken in the campus after the wedding.
